Willie Roy Nichols Jr., age 57, of Shreveport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025. He was born on September 14, 1967, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late, Willie and Pinkie Nichols. He grew up in Shreveport where he accepted Christ at an early age at Central Free Methodist Church. He was a proud graduate of Fair Park High School, Class of 1985 and a devoted band member. He continued his education and graduated from Grambling State University with his bachelor's in criminal justice. The majority of his career was spent working for the Rutherford House and General Motors where he was highly respected and known for his big heart, integrity, and dedication daily. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.

In his leisure time, Willie enjoyed traveling, fishing, watching football, listening to music, investing into his car collection, and reading his daily word. He also enjoyed cooking on weekends. To many it was work, but it was a labor of love to him, and he enjoyed sharing his talent with loved ones. Most of all, he enjoyed supporting and spending time with his one and only daughter, Jessica. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.

Preceding Willie in death are his father Willie Roy Nichols Sr. and mother, Pinkie Nichols.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jessica Nichols; his brother, Ronald Harris, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Willie's life will be held Friday, January 17, 2025, at 6:00PM at Morning Star Baptist Church Event Center, 5340 Jewella Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71109. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a life defined by love and kindness.
