Willie Bynum Hunter Jr., affectionately known as "Lil" Willie, peacefully embarked on his journey to the heavenly realm on Saturday, September 23, 2023. At the age of 73, he reunited with his dearly missed parents, Willie and O.G. Hunter, in eternal serenity.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted son, Willie B. Hunter III, lovingly referred to as Trey, along with a cherished grandson and two precious granddaughters. Willie also leaves behind a legacy of kinship, survived by his three siblings: Marie Ayres, Susan Stevenson (Bill), and Nancy Dumas.

In his family circle, Willie was a cherished uncle, survived by many nephews and great nieces, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Willie's journey in life was marked by resilience and determination. Confronting limited paralysis at just one year old after contracting polio.  He displayed remarkable courage throughout his life. He pursued his education, graduating from Woodlawn High School, and furthered his skills through trade school. For a brief period, he contributed his talents as a mechanic, demonstrating his unwavering work ethic and dedication to his craft.

Willie's memory will forever be enshrined in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His indomitable spirit and enduring love will continue to inspire us all. May he find eternal peace and reunion with his beloved parents in the embrace of the divine.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 29 , 2023 at Centuries Memorial Garden Cemetery in Shreveport.
