Obituary

William Randall "Randy" Simpson, 62, was born on March 27, 1963, in Sulphur, LA. He passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, surrounded by family. Randy had a love for motors and speed- if it roared, raced or needed fixing, it had his attention from an early age.

He dedicated more than 20 years of his life working as a certified master mechanic at Sears Automotive, where his skill, honesty, and hard work ethic earned the respect of coworkers and customers alike. After a brief retirement, his passion for motors led him to 4 Wheel Parts, where he continued doing what he loved. Most recently, he worked at All About Trees, staying active and working hard until he fell ill.

Outside of work, he found joy in hunting, mud riding, tattoos and spending time with family.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Verone Brown Walker; brother, Charles Richard Simpson; and fiancée Sharon Lea McNerney.

Randy's spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He is survived by his father, Charles Wayne Simpson and stepmother, Sandy; sister, Renee' Simpson Jefferson and husband John; son, William Randall Simpson Jr. and wife Amanda; daughter, Me'gan Simpson Frazier and husband Patrick; son, Stephen Kyle Simpson and wife Sara; daughter, Kendall Jade Mann; son, Kalob Evan Mann; grandchildren; Ayden Simpson, Paxton Frazier, Mila Simpson, Grant Frazier, Mara Simpson, Bentley Frazier, Atlus Simpson, Finley Simpson; nieces, Haley Stroud, Hannah Wood and Savannah Jefferson.

Randy will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and the way he could fix just about anything you could put in front of him. He was a man who showed his love through action- by lending a hand, teaching what he knew, and making sure his family was taken care of. Whether under the hood of a truck, in the woods hunting, reloading ammo, riding through the mud, or simply gathered around family, Randy was happiest when doing what he loved and being with those he loved most.

Randy will be dearly missed, but we are comforted he has found his eternal peace, mud riding in Heaven.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at Northern Louisiana Medical Center and The Carpenter House for the compassionate and excellent care provided to Randy.
