William Beck Rice Jr. passed away on November 5, 2023, peacefully in his home at the age of 79. He was a beloved, husband, father, grandfather, and a veteran.  William, also fondly known as Bill, was born February 19, 1944, in Michigan. He grew up in the coal mining town of Clymer, Pennsylvania with his family.

At the age of 17, he joined the United States Air Force. He proudly served a tour in the Vietnam War and retired at Barksdale Air Force Base as a Master Sergeant E-7 in 1982. Bill dedicated 22 years of his life to the Air Force and to our country.  Upon retirement, Bill established his own successful business, William B. Rice Building and Remodeling. He was a self-taught, master craftsman of carpentry for 22 years.

He will be missed and eternally loved by his wife, Vicki Rice of
25 years; children, Tammy Rice, William Shawn Rice, Tammy Howard and Bubba Malone and wife Kristi; grandchildren, Jeffrey Beck Savage and wife Lorraine, Brittany Howard, Cody and Dylan Johnson, Colton Malone, Piper Malone, Kelsi Lofton,and Kayce Malone; and great grandchild, Jace Johnson.

A celebration to honor Bill's life will be held November 18, 2023, at his family home.
