William has been handicap/crippled since birth but that never slowed him down with whatever he wanted to do. He only had use of one arm, but he learned how to take care of himself with little assistance.
He loved cars and could name every motor in any model. He enjoyed yard work, and it had to be immaculate before several strokes confined him to a wheelchair.
He loved movies, especially old westerns.
He also loved motorcycles. Every year on his birthday our biker friends would come and take him out to eat catfish. He looked forward to that every year and would start asking if they were coming in May (birthday was in June).
William was a simple man and appreciated the simple things in life. He loved his family above all and brought joy to all of us.
I will miss his big smile when I came to visit and his "Hi Sis, I have been waiting for you!" He was my touchstone. No matter what was going on with me, he always made me feel better and could always give me a good laugh. I will miss him, but I know he is now sitting at the feet of GOD with no broken body and no pain and that comforts me.
T he family wishes to extend their gratitude to the following:
