Shreveport, LA - William Anthony DeYoung Jr. (Little Bill), was born August 11, 1938. A life long resident of Shreveport and graduate of Fair Park High School, class of 57, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Christmas Eve, 2014. He is survived by his forever Sweetheart Betty Nesbett DeYoung, being married just one week shy of 57 years; also his 3 children, William Anthony DeYoung III, Deborah DeYoung Thomason and Paul, Rhonda DeYoung Hales and Chuck, and his special daughter in law Brenda DeYoung Prichard and Ben; also dearly loved and tremendously missed by his brothers and sisters, Marie Larrison and Bill, Pat Mayfield, Robert and Gloria, Kirk and Carla, Ricky and Diane, and Renee Harris and Larry. 9 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and church family, also "His love for his special companion"Coco", who already misses him dearly. He was proceeded in death by William Anthony DeYoung Sr. and Rosie Farmer DeYoung. Pall Bearers will be William Anthony DeYoung IV, Travis Michael DeYoung, Paul Thomason, Chuck Hales, Brandon Thomason, and Homer Nesbett; Honorary Pall Bearers will be Danny DeYoung, Bryan foster, Todd Martinez, and Howard DeYoung. Family visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday December 28th at the Bethel Assembly of God, 5801 Bert Kouns Industrial loop, Shreveport, La 71129. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, December 29th at the Bethel Assembly of God, with burial following in the Forest Park West Cemetery. Little Bill will be remembered for his love of baseball, piano playing, church going, grandbaby loving, and being everybody's Daddy and everybody's Papaw. He served 20 plus years with A&P grocery stores and was store manager for most of those years. His most personal accomplishment was his prayer cloth ministry. His infectious smile and love for life will forever be embedded in our hearts.
