William "Billy" Edward Powell, 86, passed away on February 28, 2026. He was born on June 1, 1939 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Billy was a devoted employee to the City of Shreveport and retired from the water department after 32 years. His passions were cars and golf.

Beyond his work, Billy was a devoted husband and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Carla Ebarb, and his very special grandmother, Louise E. Hailey.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary; his children, Camille Pulzone (Joe), Sharron Cothran (Sid), Gene Shewmake, and John Shewmake (Claudia); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one very special friend, Charles Citrano.

Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Aulds Funeral Home.

He will be greatly missed.
