It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Joseph Belk, 51, of Belcher, La on Memorial Day, May 29th, 2023. William was born on April 3, 1972, in Shreveport, to parents Billy Joe Belk and Debra Walton Hoyle.
Through all of his personal life challenges, William "Billy, Little Billy, Billy Boy," loved his family. He never met a stranger and was loved by many. He had such a contagious laugh that could brighten anyone's day. He loved to fish, ride motorcycles, shoot pool and play a good game of darts.
William leaves behind his five children Sarah (Adam) Land, Rachael (Rain) Rieke, Chase (Holly) Troquille, Cameron (Hallie) Belk, and Chance Belk. His six grandchildren Averi, Caroline, and Josie Land, Kinsley Rieke, Saige Belk, and Grayson Troquille. All of his children and grandchildren are from the East Texas area.
He is survived by his father Billy Joe Belk of Gilliam, La, stepfather Clayton Hoyle of Springhill, La, his sisters Brandy (Robert) Watts of Haughton, La and Tammy Carreon of Gilliam, La.
William was blessed with many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Debra Annette Hoyle of Springhill, La and stepmother, Carla Skelton Belk of Gilliam, La.
The family has entrusted Aulds Funeral Home with arrangements. A visitation is scheduled for June 10, 2023, at 2:00pm, located at 7849 E. Kings Hwy, Shreveport LA 71115; 318.797.8124.
The family would like to recognize all of our wonderful and amazing family and friends that graciously contributed to the celebration of William's life. We would also want to thank Crystal Winslow of Gilliam, LA and all of the first responders from Caddo Parish, La.
