SHREVEPORT, LA - A Visitation will be held for William Franklin Baldwin on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. in the Undercroft at Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Shreveport. Interment will be held at the Church's Rose Garden at 6:00 p.m. An Attorney and long-time resident of Shreveport, he passed away April 27, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Born in 1935 in Denver, Colorado, he moved to Shreveport in 1960 where he began the practice of law and started a family. He was an avid reader and maintained an extensive collection of books covering a wide range of subjects comprising several thousand volumes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Edna Baldwin. He is survived by three children and six grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Shreveport.
