Dr. William Wiley Baldridge, at age 103, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on February 28, 2022, surrounded by loved ones in his home. He leaves behind a legacy of four children —Diane, Adele, Wiley, Ruth—, a dozen grandsons (no granddaughters!) and 24 great grands.
Bill practiced dentistry until he was 75. Along with his orthodontist brother Doyle, thousands of smiles were saved, made brighter, and straightened. This pair of stellar Baylor Dental Grads took great pride in their work, as smiles everywhere can attest.
He was one of a kind and had a story for every aspect of his life from growing up in Arkansas, training Navy pilots during WWII, or working under "Uncle Henry" in the Dearborn Ford Plant in the 1930s. He was joined in his life adventure by wife, Rosemary Sanders of Ruston, Louisiana in 1943. These two, after Bill's retirement, launched into their new passion of harvesting Dixie Garden veggies, fruits, and making designer wines.
Friday, March 18, 2022, a memorial service will be held in the chapel at Broadmoor Methodist Church, at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the church.
