IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Donald
Bahm
September 27, 1948 – November 21, 2024
William "Billy" Donald Bahm, age 76, of Shreveport, was called to his eternal home on November 21, 2024. Billy was born on September 27, 1948, in Shreveport, LA, to Don and "Sug" Bahm and was the oldest of three siblings. After graduating from Ruston High School, he attended Louisiana Tech University, where he met and married his sweetheart, Linda Ann Grafton Bahm, of Bernice, LA, on November 19, 1968.
In his life, Billy enjoyed sports, camping, motorcycles, boating, fishing, and was an avid duck hunter. Many can attest that the Ain't No Tellin' duck camp was a real treat. Annual camping trips were a must; tubing became a favorite activity for the kids, grandkids, and their friends. During the holidays, you could always find Billy making his rice krispy treats and chocolate fudge or smoking his famous "Billy Bahm Ham."
Billy and his family lived in North Highlands for 48 years and were members of Trinity Heights Baptist Church, eventually transferring their membership to Shreveport Community Church. Many often saw him at the local Brookshires, where he "never met a stranger." Billy had a giving heart and helped so many people in their time of need, as he was blessed to do. His most prized possession was his family; his grandkids were the extra strawberries atop his favorite cake.
Billy spanned his 47 years in the oilfield from rough-necking to fishing tool supervisor and finally an independent contractor. He worked for Tri-State Oil Tools, Baker Hughes, and Childress Rentals throughout his career, even working in Cairo, Egypt, for three years. Billy Bahm was a familiar name if you worked in the oil field.
Billy is survived and missed by his loving wife, Linda Bahm, of 56 years, and his three children: Bridget Bahm of Midland, TX; Brett Bahm of Shreveport, LA; and Neely Williams (Brandon) of North Richland Hills, TX. Forever cherished and remembered by his four grandchildren: Blake Caskey (Seth) of Shreveport, LA; Brooks Bryan of Midland, TX; Ellis and Noah Grace Williams of North Richland Hills, TX; two great-grandsons; Parker and Wylie Caskey of Shreveport, LA; one brother, Randy Bahm of Shreveport, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Stanley Bahm and Jewel "Sug" Thelma Weaver Bahm, and his sister, Janice Louise Bahm.
