She has resided in Shreveport since 1988. In the early 1980's she & her life long friend, Lauren, hitchhiked through all of the 48 states of the continental U.S. She was also a resourceful rock-band groupie, having been backstage with such groups as Guns & Roses, Loverboy and many others. She also met & talked with Steven Tyler, B.B. King, and many others. She also delivered Strawn's Pies to Z. Z. Top when they were in town. She had been a waitress at Strawn's Eat Shop on Kings Hwy for 23 years until Oct. 2014. She loved her job, her customers and her co-workers. Wendy always tried to portray a tough persona, however, she was a soft-hearted, gentle soul who would help anyone in need. She is proceeded in death by her father Cecil H. Neff. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Margaret Dennis; husband, Le Grubbs; brothers, Andy Neff (Sharon); Kevin Neff; Toby Neff (Caroll); Jeremy Neff (Theresa);and Cecil Neff,II (Terrie); step-children Michelle Pollock (John); Scott Grubbs (Angela); Dustin Grubbs (Wendy); Shane Garrity (Agea); 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, who called her "Aunt Dollar". Also her life-long friends, Debi, Lori and Lauren. She is sure to be missed by her beloved dog, "Rod Stewart". Wendy always said "I want to be cremated and my ashes be scattered to the wind". That's our beloved Wendy. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at WKB SICU for the care and compassion they showed during her short stay there.
