Wayne was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on December 24,1966, to Wayne and Diana Sherman and he was called home by his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 14, 2023.

After high school, Wayne joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country for 4 years.  While in the Navy, he was awarded several awards and medals.  After serving in the military, he went on to become a dedicated employee to Ingersoll-Rand for 16 years.  In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed shooting guns, driving around in his Corvette, fishing, drinking Coors Light, and spending time with his family.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Diana Sherman.

He is survived by his sisters, Cindy Umling and husband, Steve and Michele Malone and husband, Darrin; his brother, Stephen Sherman and husband, Kenny; his nieces and nephews, Chris Umling and wife, Rebecca, Kristina Haltom and husband, Joseph, Crystal Palmer and husband, Cade, Sean Malone and wife, Michelle, Katelyn Wiggins and husband, Andrew, and Paige Sherman and Conner Smith; and his great-nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Hunter, Aidan, Maci, Madi, Harper, Wyatt, and Wesley.

Services for Wayne will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana 71115.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM and funeral service to begin at 10:30 AM with burial to immediately follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, Louisiana.
