Warren Ray Pons, age 70, son of Theodore Warren Pons and Iris Mae Barnhill Pons was born on July 12,1951 in Shreveport, La. He passed away on January 22, 2022 at Minden Medical Center in ICU.
Warren played a tuba in Fair Park High School. He also played a bass guitar and was in Denny Duron's Band, The Vessels. He worked at several printing companies and loved being able to take them apart when needed and put it back together. Later he worked at Minden Medical Center.
Warren was a very compassionate and loving husband, Dad, Papaw, son, brother, friend and will be dearly missed. He had a smile that would light up the room. He loved coming on all the field trips. Junior Bible Quiz competitions, our kids and grandkids programs at church and in the homeschool group. He also loved Central Assembly and our Christian family there. He enjoyed gospel music and reading and studying the Bible. He enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, hunting, Mexican Dominoes, Phase 10 and Uno Attack!
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cindy/ Cynthia Primrose Pons, his son, Shane Pons and granddaughter Letty Pons/Addy and Aiden Harris, His son Matthew Pons and grandson Gavin Pons, His son, Nathaniel Pons, his son Aaron Pons and his wife Naomi Pons, and daughter Laura Pons; his brother Randy/Warren Randolph Pons and wife Paula Pons and their children Blythe Pons McCrae and husband Jamoe McCrae, Shelly Pons Glazner and husband Matt Glazner, and Jarett Pons and wife Cynthia; his sister, Elizabeth Pons Oliver and her husband, Robert Oliver and their on Robert Jason Oliver and wife Jennifer; cousins Paul K Pons and wife Brenda Oliver Pons, Jeanette Pons Avila and husband Jose Avila, Louise Pons Williams and Mary Nan Pons Ferguson. and Eugenia Williams and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father and mother, Theodore and Iris Pons.
The family would like to thank all our friends and family for the love and support during this difficult time.
The family Of Warren Pons invites all to come celebrate his life at the Central Assembly of God in Haughton. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 12pm, with a celebration of life following at 1pm, then a graveside service. Serving as pallbearers are Shane Pons, Matt Pons, Aaron Pons, Jason Stiles, Geno Munds, Ryan Spanier.
