"Wallace Warren Corley, affectionately known as Wally by his family and many friends, passed away on September 11, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana, at the age of 83. He was born on February 11, 1940, in Alexandria, Louisiana. Wallace was survived by his daughter Suzanne Corley Barnes from Winnfield, Louisiana, his brother Melvin Corley and wife Debbie from Ruston, Louisiana, and his sister Carol Corley Garrett and husband Raymond from New Roads, Louisiana.

Wallace was a beloved grandfather to Jeffery Corley, Felicia Corley (Matt), Devin Corley, Dakota Corley, and Lindsay Cattermole (Sid). He was also an uncle to Krista Corley, Drew Corley, Keren Corley, Haynes Garrett, Izabell Garrett, Emma Garrett, Nelson Garrett, and Grayson Garrett.

Wallace was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn Vairin Corley, his father Hopkins Corley, and his mother Helen Krist Corley.

A native of Pineville, Louisiana,  Wally was a 1958 graduate of Pineville High School, and a 1962 Electrical Engineering graduate of Louisiana Tech. Wally spent virtually his entire professional career in Shreveport working at Western Electric and its successor companies. He received several awards for professional accomplishments, but is best remembered by friends and colleagues as an avid fisherman and host of numerous fish frys.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to your local humane society in memory of Wally."
