Obituary

Virginia was born on January 22, 1935 in New Orleans, La and passed away peacefully at her Shreveport home, May 25, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her parents Shellie Logan and Erma Lee Ford; her beloved children David Wyane, Dora Maria, and Dennis Thomas; Husband and bets friend J.S. VanVeckhoven; brothers George Logan, Kennith Logan, and Buddy Logan; sisters Vertie Lee, Shirley Ann, and Grandson, Stephen Ray.

Left to celebrate her life are her children, Rickey VanVeckhoven and former wife Sarah White, Dora Denise and husband Bill Robinson, Leny VanVeckhoven, Derral VanVeckhoven, and former son-in-law Johnny Cook; Brother, Billy Logan; Grandchildren, Renee Montoya, Danny Cook, Robert (BoBo) Parrie, Charles (Chuck) VanVeckhoven, Stacy Montoya, Rickey VanVeckhoven, Jr., Stephen White, Stephanie White, Ben White, Tracie Lostaglia, and a host of great grandchildren, family, and friends.

We will forever miss our feisty fireball. She was a tiny woman with a temper that would scare off the toughest person. She was definitely a woman that would tell you like it was. She never sugar coated anything. Although grandma was tough as nails, she had a heart of gold, a laugh you wanted to hear over and over, and a personality out of this world. Everyone always thought they were grandmas favorite because she loved us all so much. She loved to see BoBo's face and her eyes would light up when you mentioned Chuck's name. She always had to hug Rickey's neck when he came to visit and would yell louder than Stacy when Stacy would walk in the room. Everyone knew Destanie was her baby. Cowboy was grandma's very best friend. He never left her side. Like I said, Grandma had her favorites. (Don't tell Stacy but I think she liked that lazy woman Mrs. June and her fat a** husband Isaac the most.)

Grandma loved to knit, color, do puzzles, watch western movies, call people names, her puppy, and her snuff.

Grandma was nothing short of amazing. We will forever miss her and always cherish the memories that will live forever in our hearts.
