Viola Jane Riggins Tift 86 years of age Bossier City, Louisiana Passed away 03/07/2015 at the Grace Home DOB 12/21/1928 Born in Dover Tennessee Father: B.J. Riggins Sr. Mother: Mary Parker Widow to Husband Harley A. Tift Native of Tennessee, traveled the world with her husband in United States Air Force, Resided in Bossier City since 1958. Enjoyed cooking, gardening, crochet, quilting, knitting, bowling, and giving back. Nail Technician for over 40 years, Homemaker, Café Owner, Supported her husband, son and daughters entrepreneur dreams. Courageous and Kind, Amazing Mother, Resilient beyond words, My Rock... Rose above the loss of her 2 sons 1948 & 1983 and husband in 1989. She is survived by her daughter, Kristi Jane Tift (Owner of Destiny Day Spa & Salon) and her life partner Courtenay Netherland Tift, and one grandson Phoenix Jaxon Tift and several grand fur babies all of Bossier City, LA. She is Preceded in death by her Fur baby, "Jordie" Jordan Tift, 2/24/2015, Her sister, Blanche Carter Jordan , 7/18/2007, Her Husband, Harley A. Tift , 8/23/1989, Her Son, Barry A. Tift, 5/4/1983, Her first son, Barry Tift, Died at 2 days old 1948. Cremation Ceremony to be provided by Aulds Funeral Home Wednesday March 11, 2015 The Celebration of Life will be held at Rose Neath Funeral Home Located on Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA Sunday, March 15, 2015 2:00 pm Visitation 3:00 pm Celebration of Life Officiants: Mr. Larry Scott and Miss Nancy Hartwell In Lieu of Flowers you may send memorial funds to The Bossier City Council on Aging in the name of Viola J Tift.
