Velma Lee Peters, age 71, of Coushatta, LA, passed away on February 4, 2024, at her home. She was born on January 6, 1953, in Natchitoches, LA to Wiley and Lorena Phillips.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Christina McDonald, Angela Hunter, Shannon Greer, and Vernon Phillips; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Betty Deets, Richard Lynn Phillips, Paul Phillips, and Annie Cheatwood; and a host of family and friends.
