Troy Alan Craft Sr.

July 17, 1966 – December 7, 2019

Bro. Troy, as most people knew him (age 53) suddenly went to be with the Lord on December 7 ^th 2019 at his home in Shreveport, following an accident at work.  He was a chemical delivery driver for 12 years at Baker Hughes Petrolite in Bossier City, LA.   Troy was born July 17, 1966 in Houston, TX, but mostly grew up in Apollo, Pennsylvania. He met his wife, Mary, while attending Fairhaven Baptist College in Chesterton, IN.  In 1990, God called Troy to Indian Hills Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA where he worked in the bus ministry – bringing children to Sunday school, taught a Sunday school class, and served as the song leader and choir director for 29 years.  Troy loved his Pastor and church family!  He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour when he was 13. The Lord has used him throughout his life to lead many souls to Christ.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.  He is preceded in death by his son, Troy Craft, Jr. and grandparents David Craft, Sr. and wife Frances.  He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary; his son Jonathan, his mother and father – Paulette and Robert Kline, David Craft, his sister Laura and husband K.W McNatt, his sister Melanie and husband Todd Crissman, his sister Christina and husband Jimmy Barr, his brother Michael Kline, 5 nephews and 2 nieces. The viewing will be held at Indian Hills Baptist Church located at 7131 Old Mooringsport Rd. in Shreveport on Wednesday, December 11 ^th from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Indian Hills Baptist Church on December 12 ^th at 10 a.m.  Officiating will be Pastor Don Tinsley. Honoring Troy as pallbearers will be Jonathan Craft, KW McNatt, Todd Crissman, Jimmy Barr, Patrick Maloney and Randy Barmore.  Troy will be laid to rest at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport.
