Tommy Farmer, 53 passed away Friday, September 11, 2015. Tommy was born in Shreveport, LA to Patricia Seymour and Tommy Farmer, Sr. He was husband to Cathy Farmer and stepfather to April Brown Strickland, Terrell Brown and Casey Brown and proud grandfather to three grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Garrett and Tanner. Tommy was brother to Carla Seymour Roberts, Kimberly Farmer Allen and stepbrother to Johnny Seymour and Debra Seymour Sedransky. He also shared a special friendship with his brothers-in-law Robert Allen and Chris Roberts. "Uncle Tommy" had five nieces and nephews: Aubrey, Brandy, Kyle, Anna and Bridget and was great uncle to Nicole, Hannah and Alyssa. Those who knew Tommy will remember him most for his contagious smile, unending sense of humor, soft heart and love for animals (especially his dogs Hachi and Lily). He cherished his family like no other and always held a special place in his heart for his mother. As her only son and eldest child, the two had an unbreakable bond. Tommy was her rock, and she was his. This was especially true in the last year as they both grieved the loss of Tommy's Stepfather, Johnny Seymour, Sr. who Tommy knew only as "Pops". An avid sports fan, no one could deny Tommy's passion for football, especially when it came to the Dallas Cowboys! Tommy's love of America's favorite pastime was apparent from an early age. He hit the field as an offensive tackle in 6th grade and played through his senior year of high school, graduating as a proud Southwood Cowboy in 1981. Tommy's love of both the Southwood and Dallas Cowboys will be celebrated as his family lays him to rest.
