Tommy "Tom" Gene Ware, Sr (February 7, 1954- October 6, 2020)

Gone from us too soon, Tommy always offered kind words, warm smiles, and a special laugh. He was willing to help anyone in need (things this world could use more of). He appreciated honest work and wasn't afraid to work hard. A man of many talents, he could accomplish whatever he set his mind and hands to do. Having a love of the natural world, he enjoyed growing figs, muscadines, as well as raising pigeons and chickens. Born in Oakdale, La, Tommy is the oldest of six siblings born to Elvin and Louisette Ware. He loved his family immensely. He was a child of a large family and raised a large one of his own. He had many stories from his childhood he enjoyed to share, as well as stories from raising his children. Tommy moved with his family to Shreveport in 1987 as a crane operator to construct the I-49 interchange. He later established T&B Trucking with wife Brenda in 1997, which operated until his illness in August 2020. A 40 year member of the Lord's body, he loved the Lord and the church that Christ established. Because of his faith, he is now resting in Paradise.

Tommy is preceded in death by his Mother Louisette, Brother Johnny, and daughter-in-law Tasha.

He is survived by his father Elvin, wife Brenda, children Tommy Ware Jr and wife Judy, Wendy Atkins and husband Andy, Rene Ware, Dusty Flores, and Amanda Ware. Grandchildren Johnny and Misty Ware, Nicholas Atkins, Chyenne Ware, Collin Ware, Madison Ware, Makhena Ware, Joshua Flores, Victoria (Flores) Patteson and husband Samuel, and Marc Ware. Siblings Larry Ware, Bobby Ware and wife Connie, Louana Perales and husband David, Garrion Ware and wife Lisa. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
