Timothy Dale Swindle, 64, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, with his son Austin at his side.
Timothy was born February 7, 1962, in Houma, Louisiana, to Ralph and Shirley Swindle. A proud country boy from the bayous, he never lost his deep love for the land, the water, and the simple, honest life of rural Louisiana.
At the age of 17 he joined the United States Marine Corps in 1979. He loved being a Marine with every fiber of his being — the discipline, the brotherhood, the pride — and carried those Marine Corps values with him every single day of his life.
He was never happier than when he was outdoors — deer hunting and fishing, teaching his kids to track a deer or cast a perfect line at sunrise. Those quiet mornings in the deer stand or on the water were where his soul felt most alive.
A devoted father, Timothy raised three children with love, strength, and the lessons of hard work, respect, and loyalty: Alisha, Austin, and Blayze.
Timothy is survived by his children Alisha, Austin, and Blayze Swindle; his grandchildren Presleigh Swindle and Jaxon Swindle; his brother Bobby Swindle; his sister Cindy Swindle; and many extended family and friends who were blessed by his quiet strength.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Shirley Swindle, and his brother Alan Swindle.
