Timothy Allen Johnston Sr. "Timmy"

September 16, 1968 – September 20, 2026

Timothy Allen Johnston Sr., known to everyone as "Timmy," passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 58. He was born September 16, 1968, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Tobias Andrew Johnston and Eugenia Ann Tucker, and most recently made his home in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Timmy was a man who could do it all. Early in life he worked as a painter before spending many years as a dental technician at Crown Dental Studios, where he was regarded as a true master of his craft. But his talents didn't stop there — Timmy was gifted with anything mechanical or physical. Computers, electrical work, plumbing, framing, painting — if it was broken, he could fix it, and if it needed building, he could build it. In the 1990s, long before it was common, he taught himself to build his first computer from parts he found at a pawn shop, a project that led to a lifelong love of gaming. He spent countless hours playing Quake with his sons, with friends online, and at local LAN parties, always right at home behind a keyboard as much as behind a toolbox.

Timmy loved his Harleys and the freedom of the open road. He was a devoted Saints and Broncos fan, cheering them on through every season. A skilled pool player, he competed often in local leagues, most notably with his team, Sudden Death, and traveled to Las Vegas multiple times to compete in pool tournaments. He also enjoyed his guns, took pride in reloading his own ammunition, and spent many satisfying afternoons at the gun range. He loved fishing and being out on a boat, always happiest with time on the water. Anyone who knew him well knew he had a standing love for Poncho's, his favorite Mexican restaurant in Bossier City.

Timmy was a Southern Baptist and would occasionally attend Bellaire Baptist Church.

Above all else, Timmy loved his wife, Cindy Lyons Johnston, more than anything in this world. High school sweethearts, they built a life that was inseparable — doing everything together as true partners. Cindy preceded him in death on Friday, June 27, 2014, a loss from which Timmy never fully recovered.

Timmy is survived by his three sons: Timothy Allen Johnston Jr. "TJ" (wife, Cristy Barber Johnston) of Bossier City, Louisiana; Tyler Anthony Johnston of Cincinnati, Ohio; and Travis Adam Johnston of Bossier City, Louisiana. He was also survived by his grandchildren: Collin Keith (23), Kaleb Keith (20), and Kaine Allen Johnston (9), children of TJ and Cristy; and Adonai Anthony Wood-Johnston (2), son of Tyler. He is also survived by his siblings, Tobias Johnston Jr., Donald Lingo, and Terri Stahl. He is also survived by his first cousin, Sherri A. Brents, and her husband, Johnny Brents, along with their children, Josh Brents, Jason Waters, and Justin Brown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Lyons Johnston; his parents, Tobias Andrew Johnston and Eugenia Ann Tucker; and his brother, Michael Lingo.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana, officiated by Pastor Dr. Randy Harper of Bellaire Baptist Church.
