IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thresa Renee
Mabry
May 13, 1952 – February 13, 2025
Thresa Renee Mabry ("Tee"), born May 13th, 1952, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Thresa made her way to Heaven on February 13th, 2025, following a brief illness. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to her loved ones.
Thresa was the daughter of James Ray Mabrey and Joyce May Wiles. She grew up in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, where she met her beloved husband, Boyce Harding Mabry Jr. of 56 years. Her husband was in the military which led them to call many places all over the country home, all while having and raising two wonderful children. They eventually settled down in Bossier City, Louisiana, when they retired and became grandparents and great-grandparents. Thresa had a creative mind and could sew, knit, crochet, and do just about any artsy project. She also knew all the tricks of the trade when it came to cooking homemade meals. She enjoyed taking care of animals and loved them dearly. Thresa was a Notary Public for 33 years and enjoyed serving her community.
Thresa is preceded in death by both of her parents, James Ray Mabrey and Joyce May Wiles, and brother, Richard Nathaniel Mabrey. She is survived by her husband, Boyce Harding Jr.; daughter, Ann Elizabeth Mabry and spouse Marlin Anglin; son, John Richard Mabry; grandchild Erin Elizabeth Mabry and spouse Jonathan Chase Smith, and great-grandchild, Mabry Elizabeth Smith, who will miss her Great Granny dearly. She is also survived by four sisters, one brother, many nieces and nephews, and many fur babies. Thresa, mom to many, met no stranger and welcomed everybody with open arms. She was kind, understanding, and genuine.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Willis-Knighton Bossier and Oschner LSU Health Shreveport. We are thankful for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time. There will be a private memorial celebration of life for family at a later time. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to a local animal shelter of choice.
