Thomas Wayne Irvin, known as Wayne or TW, age 81, was born on November 28, 1943, in Coushatta, Louisiana. He passed away on Monday February 17, 2025, in his home in Shreveport, Louisiana with his daughters by his side. He worked for many years as a supervisor for the City of Shreveport and absolutely loved it with many stories to tell.  He then retired with the love of his life,  Kathy and remained in the same home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Wayne loved his simple life. He enjoyed fishing on the river, muscle cars, watching football,  (especially the Dallas Cowboys) watching and feeding all the birds,  and NASCAR, but most of all he loved his family.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents W.L. and Othella Cox, the love of his life, wife, Kathy and his twin brother, Layne Irvin as well as, numerous extended family members.

He is survived by his brother, Michael (Bubba) Cox and sisters, Debbie Pellegrin and Myrtle (Sissy) Haire. Children: Deanna Irvin, Amy Irvin, Antoinette Goin (Red), Angela Graham, and Rusty Owens (Chandra). Grandchildren: Trinity Deprez, Riley Deprez, Caymen Stockbauer, Rusty Owens Jr, Miranda Owens, Michael Graham, and Ashley Graham.  As well as, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

After his wife, Kathy passed in 2022 his grief took its toll and he is now reunited with his love for eternity.

Also, a special thank you to Bristol Hospice for their assistance in this transition, with love and compassion during this time.

A memorial service honoring Wayne, will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at First Baptist church in Blanchard, 201 Attaway St. Louisiana, 71107.  Officiating will be his nephew, Jarred Pellegrin.
