Thomas Conway Allen, 77, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was born on May 25, 1945 and lived most of his life in Shreveport, LA and Austin, TX.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, William Conway Allen and Faye Hughes Allen; brother, James P Ferguson and sister-in-law Beverly K Ferguson and his grandfather, Sheriff Thomas Roland Hughes, and beloved cat G.T.

He graduated from Byrd High School, Northwestern State University, Natchitoches and University of Louisiana Monroe School of Pharmacy (Pharm D, RPH).

Tom was a true renaissance man, pharmacist, an avid reader, history buff, stained glass artist, a potter, and carpenter. His passion was music of all genres.

Tom was a gentle spirit, who faced and overcame many challenges in his life, always with a sense of humor. He gave his many friends and family laughter, joy, and love. Tom always made time to listen to his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Robinson Allen; nephews Michael H. Ferguson of DelMar, CA, Daniel D. Ferguson of Houston, James A. Ferguson of Houston; nieces Linda L. Baldwin of Houston (deceased), and Anna Lisa King of Houston.

Tom and Beth would like to thank the staff of The Chateau and Southern Care Hospice for their loving attentive care; especially to Nikki, Shanteria, Yoshua, Michelle, Fancino, and Amber (hospice).

A memorial service will be held 5:30pm on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Aulds Funeral Home.
