IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terry Ray
Gibson
May 12, 1960 – March 17, 2025
Terry Ray Gibson, 64, passed away on March 17, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Born on May 12, 1960, in Pennsylvania, Terry lived a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable stories. A proud veteran of the Army National Guard, Terry served his country with dedication. However, it was his humor and storytelling that truly defined him. He had an unmatched wit and could bring joy to any room with his jokes and tales. If given the chance, he would share a story that left everyone laughing. His presence was magnetic—hilarious yet deeply loving. Above all else, Terry was a devoted family man. He was an amazing father to his children—Angela Gibson, Rebecca Swann, Grant Gibson, Terri Gay, and Brandon Cook alongside his honorary children, Celdric Gay and Emilee Gibson—and an even better grandfather to all 15 of his grandchildren. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he created countless cherished memories with them. He is deeply missed by his wife, Jean Gibson, who shared in his journey through life. Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Smith; his sister, Wendy Gibson; his brother, Dewayne Gibson; and his granddaughter, Izabelle Messer. Though they are gone, their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved them. Terry's legacy of laughter and love will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
