Teri was born in Toledo, Ohio, but grew up in and around Shreveport, Louisiana for most of her development years. Later in life she moved to Colorado with her kids. Teri discovered she had a very aggressive cancer while she was in Colorado in 2008, and passed away after fighting hard for 11 months. Teri rarely complained about the pain or her fears during this time. She was a very strong woman who wanted to ensure that her family was not uncomfortable. She never lost her wonderful sense of humor, her smile, or her connection with family and friends, despite the great pain and hardship she had to endure. Teri was a dedicated mother and wife. She always made sure that her kids and husband were taken care of before she even began to think of herself. Often this was a never-ending effort and Teri selflessly gave up her own needs and goals without complaint. She rarely got to do anything that was solely for herself. Teri was a unique and special person, and will be greatly missed by all.
