Teddy Lee Johnson, age 74, passed away at his home in Coushatta Thursday, October 27, 2022. Teddy grew up in Duncan, OK, with seven siblings. He graduated from Empire High School. Teddy worked for Haliburton until starting his passion life career of training cutting horses. Teddy was an AQHA Professional Horseman, Judge, Team Wrangler Member, ACHA Hall of Fame, NCHA Judge and accomplished cutting horse trainer. He traveled to many countries promoting the sport and he never met a stranger or failed to offer anyone a chance to ride a horse.
Teddy is preceded in death by parents, Claud and Dixie (Callaway) Johnson; siblings, C.L. Johnson, Jack Johnson, Evelyn Douthitt, Jimmie Johnson and Jeffie Chapman.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Johnson; children, Teddy Jr. and wife Dodie of Livingston, LA ,Kimberly Fain and husband Greg of Lafayette, LA, Adam Jester of Malvern, AR, and Jenny Kent of Coushatta, LA; grandchildren, Brennon, Brady, Brooke, Brianha, Trevor, Trent, Kailin, Lane, Wynlee and Jovee Sue. Sisters, Stella Chasteen of Duncan, OK, Bobby Saal Frank and husband Doug of Norman, OK.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. November 4, 2022, at the Cooke County Cowboy Church in Gainesville, TX.
