Obituary

Tammy was born on August 31, 1960, weighing only 2 pounds, 6 ounces. From the very beginning, she entered this world fighting, and she faced life with that same strength and determination until the very end. Despite the many challenges she endured, Tammy remained one of the most caring and selfless people anyone could ever know. She would truly give you the shirt off her back, and her heart was as big as her beautiful smile. She will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Tammy never missed a birthday, holiday, or special occasion. She had a remarkable way of making every person feel remembered, valued, and loved. Her family meant everything to her, and she supported them in every endeavor with unwavering love and encouragement. Tammy had a special gift for making others feel like the most important person in the world. If she believed it would bring happiness to someone she loved, she would gladly give her very last dollar.

She loved to talk, but even more than that, she loved to listen. Tammy was the person you could turn to for anything — whether it was lighthearted conversations about which dinosaur you would ride like a horse or the most difficult moments life could bring. She had a rare and magical way of making burdens feel lighter and hearts feel comforted. Anyone who spent time with Tammy walked away feeling cherished.

Thoughtful, compassionate, and full of love, Tammy touched countless lives through her kindness and generosity. Her laughter, warm spirit, and radiant smile will forever remain in the hearts of those blessed enough to know her.

Tammy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Golda Wyatt; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Vienna Judd; her sister, Katina Dorsey; and numerous beloved aunts and uncles.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Jerry and Becky Hawkins; her sisters, Jerri Logue and Robin Hawkins; her nieces and nephews, Angel McDaniel and son, Brittney Hughes and family, Alicia Fletcher and girls, Deanna Darbro and family, Tony Dorsey and family, and Chad Dorsey and family; her brother-in-law, Bill Dorsey; and her uncle and aunt, Mike and Jan.
