Sylvia Boucher Magee (79) went to be with Jesus on the morning of March 23, 2022, following a short illness. She was part of a very loving and loyal extended family many of whom she enjoyed visiting with on a daily basis through texts and calls. One thing we know about our mother, our sister, our grandmother and our great: She loved to engage anyone, anytime and anywhere in her favorite topic- Jesus and His Word.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Richard Magee and her beloved grandson John William (Will) Mathews.

She is survived by her precious children Richie Magee, Tyree Mathews and husband Mark, Todd Magee and wife Cami, Brian Magee and wife Cashmir; her grandchildren Dillon Magee, Marlon Magee, Luke Mathews, Reed Matthews, Beau Matthews, Christa Magee Blom and husband Morne', Josh Magee, Ben Magee, Montana Magee, and Montgomery Magee; great grandson James David Blom; three sisters Barbara Hammann and husband Buddy, Eileen Boucher, Martha Boucher, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will take place at 12pm Friday, April 1, 2022 at Christian Center of Shreveport (207 Idema Street Shreveport, LA 71106). Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Dillon, Marlon, Luke, Reed, Beau, Josh, Ben, Morne', Montana, and Montgomery. The family extends a very special thank you to Crystal with Southern Care Hospice for her wonderful care for our mother.
