Susan "Sue" Betsy Marks Glover
December 8, 1947 – October 16, 2026
Susan "Sue" Glover, 78, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on October 16, 2026. She was born on December 8, 1947, in Ojai, California, to Kenneth F. and Inez Marks, and grew up there before making her home in Garden Grove, California, and later in Shreveport.
Sue loved people with her whole heart, and she loved hard. Family, lifelong friends, and even people she had just met came away feeling welcome, loved, and important. She was a wonderful listener who always wanted to hear what you had to say. She offered comfort when it was needed and was your biggest cheerleader when you needed encouragement, and you could feel her genuine love and concern in the way she listened.
She served for 20 years as secretary at First Lutheran Church in Shreveport, and she built a women's ministry that she was deeply proud of. Through it she loved and supported many women and helped them find God.
Thoughtful and giving, Sue made sure everyone felt special, remembered, and celebrated, especially on their birthdays. She loved football, but her greatest pride and joy was her family, especially "all her girls." One favorite family memory is a Mother's Day picture of Sue surrounded by her legacy, everyone piled onto one bed, where no one could get her propped up or back off the bed again. It was a good laugh for all.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Glover; her daughters, Kim Bryant and Kallin Klein; her stepdaughters, Leslie Glover Daley and Rebecca Glover Reynolds; her grandchildren, Brittany Nichols, Brianna Nichols (Mott), Cristina Veeris, Isabel Veeris, Clark Daley, Alison Daley, Charlotte Daley, Mackenzie Reynolds, Anna Reynolds, and Rush Reynolds; and her great-grandchildren, Parker Lynch, Paighton Lynch, Penelope Lynch, Blakely Mott, Blayden Mott, and Brecken Mott. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth F. Marks and Inez Marks.
A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 E. Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71115, (318) 797-8124.
Loving, caring, and giving, Sue will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
