Obituary

Stephen "Crash" Carrier passed away in his sleep on December 4, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Crash was born in Bossier City, LA on October 7, 1964, and spent time in upstate New York visiting his aunt. That same aunt brought a not-even-5-year-old Crash to Woodstock, becoming the coolest babysitter ever.

Steve spent his early childhood into his early 20s racing motorcross, and mostly by Yamaha. He would say "I may not always win, but I would crash trying." And he certainly crashed in spectacular fashion, even during national TV races in the Superdome and L.A. Coliseum.

Crash never met a stranger and lit up every room he ever entered. He was known as the guy to give the shirt off his back, even when he didn't have much. He spent thousands of hours in the woods and on lakes with his hundreds of friends, most notably, Dale, Will, and Joey. It was often someone would say "I've known Crash for years and have I got a great story about him…."

In 1991, Steve met Margy who would become the love of his life. For the next 34 years, they were rarely apart. He would even hook Margy on his love of motorcycles, and they spent countless hours together on a Harley. He would often talk of the time when she lifted the 700-pound bike off his leg after a wreck.

Crash spent his adulthood selling everything from cars, to motorhomes, to boats, and anything else on wheels. He had bosses who would say he could sell ice to Eskimos and was often the top seller on the lot.

Unfortunately, poor health problems started creeping in for Steve at too young of an age. Those issues forced him to retire before his time. However, he still went out of his way to be the best friend and husband he could, even while his body wasn't cooperating. Today we celebrate one of life's true characters, and one who will be missed and cherished greatly.

Crash was preceded in death by his parents Parks and Gloria Carrier, and his beloved dog Cricket. He leaves behind his wife Margy, brother Billy and wife Jennifer, niece Brooke and husband Grant, Stepson Greg and wife Sam, their daughters Sophie and Jasmin, sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Jeff, their daughters Cori and Lindsay and extended family.

We will have a celebration of life at Aulds Funeral Home on Friday December 12 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity.
