IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley
Maness
April 25, 1938 – December 16, 2021
Shirley Maness was born to Albert and Myrtle Maness April 25, 1938 in Shreveport, LA. She grew up and went to school in Heflin until moving to Minden and graduated from Minden High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, A.L. Maness, Buster Maness, Ralph Maness, and Ted Maness, and sister, Jerilene Butler.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Mathes and husband Jimmy; sister, Iris Grigsby; grandchildren, Krista Patton, J.D. Mathes, and Kellie Mathes; great grandchildren Ashlyn Thomason, Ahna Wells, Weston Mathes, and Eizleigh Pumilia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley worked at TG&Y and Wal-Mart. She didn't have to let you know if she liked you or not. You knew it by her actions and facial expressions. She loved her family and we loved her right back. We will greatly miss her. I can remember every summer my Mom and Aunt would load up my cousins and me and we would go on vacation. It never failed that we would get lost at least once on the trip. Mom loved to sew and made many clothes for nieces, nephews, and grandkids, me, and for her friend's children, some of their pets, and coworkers.
Visitation will be held from 10am-12pm on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Aulds Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2pm at West Lake Cemetery in Doyline, LA with Bro. Paul Pearson officiating.
