Shirley Agnes Sanders Hammond died peacefully in Bossier City on September 11, 2015 at the age of 90 years old. Shirley is survived by her sons Wesley Hammond, of Florida and Gary Hammond, of Louisiana, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Shirley was born on August 18, 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri to John and Lillian Sanders. She married Ephraim Wesley Hammond in 1941 and enjoyed being an Air Force wife and raising her two sons before retiring in Conyers, Ga. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Conyers, GA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Shirley's life. The family requests that in lieu of flowers being sent that you make a donation to the American Breast Cancer Foundation in her honor. Details for the memorial service will be forth coming.
