Shirley was born March 31, 1939 and passed away August 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Eva Kendrick and sister Virginia Jackson. Left to cherish her memory are son Monte Black and wife Robbin, daughter Candi Black, and daughter Brandy Santoro and husband Charlie along with several grandchildren and her precious puppy GiGi.

She taught tap, jazz and ballet, made gorgeous flower arrangements at her shop The Butterfly Garden in Minden, where she was also Mardi Gras Queen in 2005. She loved dancing, playing cards, and anything with a lot of Bling. We know her star is shining bright.

The family would like to say a special thank you to her best friend Betty Tully who was always there for her. We would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Passages Hospice. They were a blessing for all of us.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport, August 17, 2022 from 11am - 1pm.
