Shaun Christopher Stedman was born on the 23rd of October 1971, and passed into eternal rest at the age of 54 on the 21st of July 2026 after a period of declining health.

Born in Tempe, Arizona he was the eldest child of Thomas and Kathleen Stedman. He was a very talented chef and also enjoyed camping, exercise and spending time with his dog, Bear. He attended church regularly and enjoyed reading the Bible. “He had a big heart” is a sentiment heard often in regards to Shaun - a quality that drew people to him wherever he went.

He served in the U.S. Army where he received the following awards: Air Assault Badge, Parachutist Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Sharpshooter Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Lapel Button.

He is survived by his son Liam and his fiance Megan, daughter Taylor, mother Kathleen, sister Allison & brother in law Bart, and nieces Annabelle and Madeleine. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas John Stedman.

A Military ceremony will take place on Friday, August 14th from 12:30-1:00 at the Northwest Veterans Cemetery 7970 Mike Clark Rd. Keithville, LA. Wake to follow at Aulds Funeral Home 7849 E. Kings Hwy Shreveport, LA from 1:30-3:30.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the care of his companion dog, Bear who gave him great comfort. Bear is currently being cared for by a wonderful rescue, any funds donated to his medical and boarding expenses would be greatly appreciated.
