Sharon Lea McNerney

Sharon Lea McNerney, 60, was born on March 25, 1962, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2022, in Doyline, Louisiana after a brief illness. Sharon excelled in everything she became involved in. She was a motorcycle instructor for Harley Davidson and a marketing representative for the Independence Bowl before pursuing her career as pharmaceutical tech for many years. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and atvs, arts and crafts and spending time with her family. Sharon was intelligent, gracious, kindhearted, and fun. She was known for her loving, compassionate heart, and her delightful personality.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Faye Smith and father, John Henry Smith; sisters, Beverly Cross and Paula Faye Rodgers; brother, John Henry Smith Jr.

She is survived by the family she deeply loved and cherished, fiancé, Randy Simpson and children; William, Me'gan, Stephen, Kendall, Evan; spouses and numerous grandchildren; brother, Randy Smith and wife, Karen Smith; cousin, Thomas "Peanut" Hughes; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her, but we are comforted that she has found her eternal peace.
