Selena Charles Hines was a resident of Frierson, Louisiana for many years. She was the youngest daughter born Senjayliece to the union of Robert and Adeline Edmund Charles.

Selena lived her earlier years as a resident of New Iberia and Lake Charles, Louisiana. Selena married Fob Hines, born to this union were five children.

Selena is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Adeline; sisters Furilene, Evelyn, Elizabeth, and Gertrude; brothers Eugene, Robert Jr., Albert, Stilly, and Jessie; her beloved husband Fob and their son Fob (Baby J).

Selena is survived by four of her children; Adeline Edwards (Charles), Angeline Atkins, Furilene Carroll (Glenn), Jay Hines (Keyanna); grandchildren Deanna, Falolon (Vicki), Maurice and Skylin (Christine) Edwards, Keana Atkins, Christal, Robby, Joan and Erica Carroll, Jaylon Owen, Kaylon and Meekayla Fuller; ten great grandchildren; sister Eva Charles Welcome, brother Jerry Charles, sister in laws Leiomi Charles and Rose Charles, and a multitude of relatives and friends through combined families.
