IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sean
Langford
August 15, 1950 – July 19, 2021
Seaneen "Sean" Marie Barron Cotton Langford was born August 15, 1950, in Erie, Pennsylvania. She gained her heavenly angel wings surrounded by her family on Monday, July 19, 2021. She was a gallant warrior never letting cancer take her joy and always putting one foot in front of the other as she battled what she knew from the start was a tough road. She did so with grace, dignity, integrity, and courage. Her family finds comfort in all their cherished memories and knowing she is pain free and forever in our hearts.
Sean brought joy, happiness and sunshine into our lives and the lives of many others. We will miss her forever kind words, her heartfelt smile, her love of life and unconditional love for all those around her. Sean brought out the best in others and made our world a better place.
Sean was a proud attendee of the famous music festival in Woodstock, NY in 1969. She was an accomplished artist and enjoyed painting with the Asbury Monday Art Class organized by her dear friend, Sheila Shewmake. She adored the racehorses she cared for over the years and the joy of the Winner's Circle. Sean was a voracious reader, an animal-lover, and was deeply passionate about caring for our "Mother Earth". To those closest to her, she was a free spirit and an "old soul". Sean loved spending time with her family, fur babies, gardening, cooking, caring for others and her precious daily crossword puzzle.
Preceding Sean in death were her parents, Jacqueline King Barron, and Timothy Barron. Sean is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Gregory D. Langford. Son Nathan D. Cotton and his wife, Tasha C. Cotton. Grandchildren Camron D. Cotton, Cailey J. Cotton (Mayo), Ariel L. Porter, Alex G. Porter, and Aydan R. Porter. Great-grandson Marcell. Brothers Tim Barron (Pam), Peter Barron (Gwenda Vogt), Half-brother Bill King. Sister-in-laws DeLaine Langford Stricklin (Bill), Jackie Langford, Pam Halter (Kevin). Her beloved dog JoJo, her comforting cat Brother. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and family.
Sean's family and friends are thankful to St. Joseph's Hospice and the special doctors that have cared for her during many difficult days.
