Scott Louis Strain was born August 23, 1960 in Shreveport, LA.  Scott went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2020.  Throughout his life, Scott found joy and happiness in the arts.  He loved music, playing the piano, and creative writing.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  Scott was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.  He was previously married to Karen Brown, who remained his best friend until the end.

Scott is preceded in death by his parents A. Louis Strain and Virginia Strain.  He is survived by his sister Ginger Moore, widow of John Moore, of Shreveport, Melanie Weaver of Shreveport, and Jason Strain, wife Dianna, of Frisco, TX.  His godmother Rosie Lee Shine of Shreveport.  He is also survived by 6 nephews, 1 niece, 3 great-nieces, and 2 great-nephews.

Honorary pallbearers are Todd Mooney, Taylor Weaver, Jacob Strain, Caleb Strain, Micah Strain, and Jonathan Strain.
