Samuel Anthony Serio was born September 5, 1952 in Shreveport, Louisiana, and entered eternal rest on July 22, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Shreveport. Sammy was a baker and a bass player by trade.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Helen Serio.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Mona Serio, Sister Jeanette Serio Courtney, Daughter Christie Serio Walters (Rusty), Son Tony Serio II (Jani), 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm Monday, July 25, 2016 at Aulds Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral service to begin at 12pm. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Coushatta, Louisiana. Honoring Mr. Serio as pallbearers are Dale Shelton, Shawn Day, Shea Maddox, Robbie Harlan, Aaron Weaver, Sonny Scroggins, and Terry Lynn Falcone.
