Samuel Bobby McIntyre, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana after a lengthy battle with heart disease. He was born on May 14, 1939, in High Shoals, North Carolina to S.B. and Geneva Adair McIntyre.

He joined the United States Air Force on October 31, 1960, and was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base for the entirety of his time in the service. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Air Force, he was employed by TG&Y, and CONAGRA. While not working he spent a lot of time outside with his family. He loved to hunt and fish.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Cason McIntyre; three children Bobby Keith McIntyre, Karen Gale McIntyre Carmack, Paula Kay McIntyre; two brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by sister, Julie Ann Norman (David); brother, Joey McIntyre (Dena). Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
