Samuel "Russell" Lillard born June 22, 1951 in Burlington IA went to be with Jesus on July 15, 2015. Russell married Linda Mullen Lillard on February 14th 2003. Russell was preceded in death by his parents Lee and Martha Lillard. His brothers Richard Lillard and Donald Lillard. He is survived by his wife Linda Mullen Lillard, Brothers Carl Lillard, Barry Lillard and Chris Lillard; sister Sue Hunnicut; children Dustin Petty, Shane Lillard and Sunshine Keenan. His stepchildren who he loved as his own Angela Messner, Donna Clancy, John Clancy and Jesse McCune. 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He graduated from Dallas City High School in 1969 and from Western Illinois University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Russell was a member of W.H. Booth Masonic Lodge # 380 where he served as Master in 2013. He was a member of El Karubah Shrine Temple where he served as Entertainment Chairman 2014 and 2015. He was also a member of the El Karubah Sandman and the Arab Parade Unit where he served as Captain 2014. Russell was a partner with The Simple Church where he served as a volunteer and enjoyed playing Santa with his men's group delivering bicycles to children. Russell also enjoyed working with the Masons raising money for the Masonic Learning Center for Dyslexia. Visitation will be Sunday July 19th at 3:00 with service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at El Karubah Shrine Temple 6230 South Lakeshore Drive, Shreveport LA 71119. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Masonic Learning Center of Louisiana 318-487-4986 or the Shreveport Shrine Hospital. A memorial service will also be held in Dallas City IL Saturday July 25th at 1:00p.m.
