Samuel Kaye Carnahan, 76, of Bossier City, Louisiana, died at 9:58 PM Thursday, July 28th, 2022, surrounded by his family, following his battle with cancer.
Sam was born in Homer City, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Archie Luther Louis and Mary McAdoo Carnahan. Sam served in the United States Air Force for 26 years. He retired as Senior Master Sergeant on October 1st, 1991. Sam loved wrestling, football, fishing, and dad jokes, but most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosenda Hufana Carnahan, and daughter Elizabeth Ann Free. Son and his wife Elisa and Sam Carnahan Jr; grandchildren Tiffany Lynn Carnahan and Brittany Nicole Haynes, and great-grandchildren Mercedes Jo-Ann and Jordyn Leigh-Anne Thompson, Jesse James Greer III, and Kaydence Rose Seidl. Sam was the youngest of thirteen children. Survived by brothers Raymond, James, Ronald, and David W. Carnahan; sister Margaret Carnahan. He was preceded in death by brothers Louis, Jim, Charles, and Donny; and sisters Stella Hullihen and Mary Jane Offenbecker. A funeral service will be held in his honor at 2:00 PM on August 13th, 2022 , at Auld's Funeral Home, 7849 E Kings Hwy Shreveport, LA 71115.
