Sam (pepaw) Cararas   Memorial service will be held Dec. 18, 2015 2 pm at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport LA for Sam. Born Feb 15 1935 in Simsboro LA to Evelyn Gordon Cararas and Sam Cararas Sr. He went to be with the Lord Dec 7 2015 peacefully in his sleep. He was preceded in death by both parents. Left behind was the love of his life Helen Garrett Cararas. Sons Sam Cararas lll (Jonell) Larry Garrett (Cindy), daughters Karla Cararas (Dawn) and Diane Jeansonne (Paul) 9 grands and 9 great grands which were his pride and joys. Brother Stewart Cararas and sister Sandra Cararas, niece and 3 nephews. He graduated Neville High School in 1953 and went on to business at LA Tech. Sam sold insurance for over 45 years. He loved duck and deer hunting, fishing and drinking 2 beers out on the deck. He was one of the best duck callers around. Also leaving behind special family members Charles George and Glen Hartwell whom he shared stories with. The family would also like to thank the nurses at Lifecare Hospital and Dawn Towery for the loving care Sam received.
