IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ruth Ann Richardson
Taffi
April 1, 1938 – February 3, 2026
Ruth Ann Richardson Taffi, age 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Shreveport, Louisiana, on February 3, 2026, surrounded by love.
Ruth Ann was born on April 1, 1938, in O’Farrel, Texas, to Robert Henry Richardson and Nora Faye Hays Richardson. She graduated from Linden High School and went on to build a long and dedicated career with South Central Bell/BellSouth, where she worked faithfully for 31 years before retiring in 1987.
Ruth Ann had a deep love for beauty and creativity. She had an undeniable passion for jewelry—never able to walk into a store without stopping to admire it, and often leaving with a new treasure. She also found joy in arranging flowers, creating beauty that reflected her thoughtful and caring nature.
Above all else, Ruth Ann loved her family. Her devotion to them was constant and unwavering, and her greatest joy came from being surrounded by those she loved. She also loved Jesus, and her faith was an important part of her life. The family finds comfort in knowing she is now in Heaven, reunited with loved ones and at peace.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Ronald Taffi; her sisters, Estelle Pate and Jo Allen; and her brother, Robert Wesley Richardson.
She is survived by her daughter, Candy Yates (Bob); her brother Jerry Richardson (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Caleb Yates (Victoria), Jessica Smith (Aaron), Jacob Yates (Erin), and Casey Smith (Wyatt); 17 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Aulds Funeral Home from 11am-1pm Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
Ruth Ann will be remembered for her warmth, her eye for beauty, and most of all, for the deep love she held for her family—a love that will continue to live on through them.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Bristol Hospice for the compassionate care that was given.
The family would like to extend special gratitude to her niece, Beverly Combs, for the loving care and support she provided in her final days.
