Ruby was born December 23, 1929 to the union of Henry Daniels & Lessie McDonald Daniels in Castor, LA.

She joined church at an early age in Castor, LA and after moving to Shreveport she united with the New Elizabeth B.C. under the leadership of the late Dr. Danny Mitchell, Sr. She was a faithful member until her health began to decline.

She was a domestic worker most of her life. The mother of three children; Larry (Patricia) Rachal, Rose Daniels Brown (Elton) and one deceased son Steve Rachal.

She leaves to cherish her life three grands, ten great grands, and one great-great grand. Seven brothers and a sister preceded her in death. One surviving sister Bessie Davis of Shreveport, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, a bonus son Dr. Paul Wilson, Sr, bonus son Gregory Givens, and bonus granddaughter Carmel Ware.

A celebration of life will be held at 11am Saturday, March 21, 2026, at From Bondage To Freedom Church (2020 Hollywood Avenue Shreveport, LA 71108).
