NUGENT, Sr, Roy Anthony (73) Ret. Master Sgt, USAF, passed away May 31, 2021 at St Joseph's Carpenter House from complications from Multiple Sclerosis, which he suffered for many years. Roy spent 23 yrs and 7 months in the Air Force of which 14 yrs were spent outside theUntied States. He was stationed at RAF Bentwaters, England for 11 yrs, which was his favorite place to work and live. He was Aircraft Maintenance most of his career, which included Crew Chief, scheduling, training and other areas connected to aircraft. Roy was most proud of his time being a NATO inspector and on a team that rewrote tech orders for the A-10. He enjoyed the Mudbugs Ice Hockey team and was a season ticket holder beginning with the 1998-1999 season. He went to many in and out of town games, especially Championship games. Roy is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by is wife Juanita Crocker Nugent, son and daughter-in-love Roy, Jr and Rhonda Nugent. Grandsons Jeff (Sara) and Justin (Tracy) Blankenship, 6 great-grands, nieces and nephews, one sister and three brothers all of whom he loved dearly. Visition will be held Saturday, June 26at Keithville United Methodist Church from 2-4 pm. Dress will be casual. Burial will be Monday, June 28, 10 amat the NWLA Veteran's Cemetery in Keithville. The family wishes to thank staff of Hall 2 NWLA Veterans Home for the many years of wonderful care. Rather than flowers, donations are requested for The Glen System or charity of donors choice.
