Roxie Shelton died peacefully in Shreveport LA on Friday 4/3/15 at 3PM at the age of 73. Roxie is survived by her only son Ron Monsour from Rinconada NM. She has 3 grandchildren Jose, Angelica, and Bo Monsour. She was preceded in death by William Shelton of Shreveport, LA. Roxie was born on October, 25th in 1941 in Eldorado AR to Katherine and A.E. Lewis. Roxie was a dedicated Laboratorial Technologist for several area hospitals, last of which was LSU Medical Center. Roxie retired and enjoyed living life to it's fullest as a retiree. She was dedicated to helping family and local charities, as well as, being a true friend to many who were dear to her. A short service will be held from 2-4 at Auld's in Sherveport LA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roxie's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to any charity relating to cancer treatment or alternative cancer research. All of the staff did such a great job of taking care of Roxie and making her feel at home. Your comforting care and therapy were invaluable. We would like to thank all of Roxie's friends and extended family that were not mentioned here.
